Grief Support

Grief Recover Programs

Recognizing the need for assistance in working through grief long after the funeral, Becker Funeral Homes offer several grief recovery programs. The programs are offered without charge to families that we have served. They are conducted at our Family Centers or other facilities. All sessions are conducted by trained and licensed counselors.

  • Companioning Children Through Grief. Conducted both in the schools and at our facility as needed. This program is done in the Struthers, Poland and Lowellville school districts without charge as a public service for all children in need.
  • Adult Private one on one sessions are offered as requested.
  • Celebration of Remembrance: Since 1991, the Becker Funeral Homes has conducted an annual holiday program that celebrates the lives of those we have served in the past year. It has grown from its initiation from 20 to 375 family members.
  • Annual Holiday Help Program: Is scheduled the Monday following the Celebration of Remembrance. This program is to assist families with tips on how to get through the holidays when dealing with a loss of a loved one.

We offer bereavement services for the families we serve. In addition, we have provided some helpful grief support links below:
