BOARDMAN – Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Boardman United Methodist Church for Betty Jean Cipperley, 86. She passed away Wednesday night at Hospice House.
Mrs. Cipperley was born on Feb. 20, 1924, in Poland, the daughter of David B. and Mamie Heck Maxwell.
Mrs. Cipperley had worked as Personnel Director for Murphy Mart in Boardman for several years.
Mrs. Cipperley was a member of the Boardman United Methodist Church and a member of the Travlac Golf League. She was also a member of the River Green South Golf Club in Avon Park, Fla.
Her husband, Henry P. Cipperley, whom she married March 11, 1944, died Jan. 19, 1993.
Surviving her are her children, Judy Sharkey (Robert L.) of Ocean View, N.J., Karen of Boardman, William (Nancy) of Boardman and Henry P. of Newark. She also leaves six grandchildren, Lora, Linda, Robert, Kate, Hannah and Jeff; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Maxwell (Katherine) of Poland. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Allie.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were her brother, Charles; her sister, May Bencekovich; and half siblings, Edward Whitehead, Jack Maxwell and Adeline Maxwell Davis.
Friends may call Monday at the church from 10 to 11:20 a.m.
