
Poland - Doris Mae Mollenkopf, 76 of Poland, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Doris went home to be with the Lord. She went with Joyful anticipation of being reunited with her beloved dad, mom and Aunt Minnie.
Doris was born March 27, 1934 in Sharon, PA, daughter of Charles and Alice Higgenbotham Wylam.
She graduated from Poland Seminary High School in 1952. After high school, she attended Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing in Youngstown, and was a licensed registered nurse. After working private duty as a registered nurse for more than thirty years, Doris went to work for the Paisley House Retirement Home where she retired in 2009.
Doris, who was very family oriented, will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim Mollenkopf, two daughters, Lora (David) McNutt of Boardman and Linda (James) Crissman of Struthers and three grandchildren, Gregory, Joshua and Ashley Crissman; and her German shepherd - Lady.
Doris enjoyed vacations, holidays, movies, music, animals, gardening, school events, her friends from Paisley House, and any occasion to be with her family. Until its' closure, she was a member of the Fairview Immanuel Baptist Church in Youngstown, serving on the Diaconate Board and other committees.
Family and friends will be received Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland where services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gerald Fennell officiating.
